UPDATE: Huntington Water Main Break

Currently, the Huntington booster station has been powered down, resulting in low to no water pressure in the area. A booster station is an essential piece of municipal infrastructure as it increases/maintains water pressure in surrounding neighbourhoods. Due to the nature of the replacement, 10 Avenue SE between 1 and 2 Street SE is currently closed. Residents should avoid the area until work is complete.

Update to the Drumheller Flood Mitigation Program - Request to Municipal Affairs

Posted on Jun. 2 2021

As a result of community concerns regarding the Flood Mitigation Program, Mayor Colberg and Council have requested a full review from the Office of Municipal Affairs of the flood program with regards to contracts, finances, and the project as a whole.

“Our community has spoken and Council has heard their concerns.” Says Mayor Colberg “we must remember that the Drumheller Valley is a flood community and as such, the program will be continuing with landowner consultations and engineering work for the berms. They will also continue on outdoor construction clean-up from the tree trimming along East Coulee to Nacmine, including along the CN Rail areas.”

In the spirit of full transparency, Council commits to sharing the results of this review with the community and acting on their recommendations.
