Looking for a great deal on fitness equipment? The BCF is hosting a silent auction sale from March 10, 2024, to April 17, 2024, on surplus equipment in the facility. 

Instruction to the Bidders

1. Copy of the completed bid form (or rendition of), along with a cheque for each item, must be received in a sealed envelope no later than 10:00am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. The envelope is to be clearly marked as:

   224 Centre Street, Drumheller, T0J 0Y4

2. A cheque for the full amount of the bid, plus GST, must be included in the bid envelope for the bid to be considered. Cheques from unsuccessful bidders will be returned promptly. 
3. The purchaser is responsible for goods and services tax along with any/all costs associated with the removal of the equipment. 
4. Exercise equipment was regularly maintained by Apple Fitness and is in good mechanical condition; however, the Town of Drumheller does not guarantee quality performance or dependability.
5. All surplus equipment is sold as is/where is basis; certain equipment may need to be assembled.
6. Surplus equipment can be viewed at the Badlands Community Facility during regular business hours starting Wednesday, March 20, 2024, to Wednesday, April 10, 2024; equipment will be set up to be viewed in the lobby.
7. The Town of Drumheller reserves the right to reject all offers or accept any offer which it may consider to be in the best interest of the Town.
8. Transfer of Ownership will not take effect until cheque(s) have cleared.
9. The public can begin to bid starting on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 9:00am. Successful bidders will be notified no later than 1pm, April 11, 2024. Rick Ladouceur, Manager of Recreation, Arts and Culture is the contact for any information related to the submitted tender bid.
10. Successful bidders must remove equipment on or before Thursday, April 17, 2024. Equipment not removed by that date and will go to the next highest bidder and a refund of less than 20% administrative charge will be incurred by the bidder(s).
11. By submitting a bid for surplus equipment, all bidders acknowledge the terms of the surplus equipment tender as outlined above.
