Please be advised of a temporary road closure on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 1:00PM to 7:00PM. The affected areas are as follows: - Downtown 3rd Ave from 2 St W to 1 St E and Centre St. from Legion to Railway Ave. - Centre Street alley South of 3rd Ave between Trader's Furniture/Heller Good and Unleash Your Sparkle/Stores on Centre. - Centre Street alley North of 3rd Ave between Lois & Ani/Drumheller Legion and Napier Theatre/Old OT Plaza. This event is 4:00PM - 6:00PM.

Notice of Public Hearing Bylaw 05.22 Closure Riverside Dr and Schedule 'A'

PURPOSE: Pursuant to Sections 22 and 23, Chapter M-26 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000; The Town of Drumheller intends to consider a Bylaw to close portions of developed Streets namely: Riverside Avenue; (now Riverside Drive East) on Plan 3147 H.R.; (Avenue; now 3rd. Avenue East) on Plan 2089 B.N.; Lane in Block 28, Plan 5657 G.E.; Avenue (now Riverside Drive East) on Plan 6495 A.V. and Original Road Allowance (now 5th. Street East); the said lands depicted on the attached “Schedule – ‘A’” and to use these lands for flood mitigation works.

This proposed Bylaw and plans showing the dike footprint, walkways and emergency access connection from 5th Street East to 3rd Avenue East is shown on the attached design drawing and are available for inspection at the Town of Drumheller office located at 224 Centre Street, Drumheller, Alberta T0J 0Y4 or online at: drumheller.ca/your-municipality/bylaws.

Any person adversely affected by this proposed road closure or otherwise wishing to address Council related to this issue shall attend the Council meeting of The Town of Drumheller at 5:30 p.m. on the 19th day of April 2022 to be held in Council chambers and / or using a virtual platform at the Town of Drumheller office; said meeting being convened to provide the public at large an opportunity to be heard in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
