We want to provide an update on what is going on at the Aquaplex and where we are with construction.

The boiler for the pool was past the end of its life and due to be replaced in 2024; however, with the extreme cold causing damage to the boiler, we needed to replace it before the pool opened. The boiler manufacturer and contractor have indicated that delivery would be around mid-February. Once installed, the boiler will take a few days to heat the pool prior to health testing and approval by AHS.

While we wait for the boiler, the following construction is still taking place:

• The new mechanical pit is now complete. The pool is circulating pool water as the pump, hair net filter and new valving have been completed.
• The flow meter has been re-calibrated, and staff have been provided with training on the upgraded pool filtration system.
• The steam room and water slide have both been tested and are operational and working!

We will not be able to have an accurate anticipated timeline for reopening until the new boiler has arrived and is successfully installed, but as we are provided more information, we will be sure to let you know!
