Fire Pit Safety
Posted on Apr. 25 2024With summer nights approaching, many of us enjoy using our fire pits. Here are some guidelines on using your fire pit safely so that everyone gets to enjoy!
- All fires must be a minimum of ten feet clearance from buildings, property lines and combustible materials.
- Its sides shall not exceed 46cms or have a surface area of 3800 sq cm.
- Only clean fuel or charcoal must be burned.
- Refuse or waste materials shall not be burned.
- All fires must have a spark arrestor or mesh screen over the flame.
- All fires must be supervised
- No fire shall produce smoke that creates a nuisance or hazard to neighbours and other properties.
